WSAZ reports a new veterans aid building will be opening in Elliot County. At the Kentucky Veteran’s Expo Tuesday, Roger Hanshaw presented a donation of 200 acres of land for a new veterans facility. The new facility, dubbed Heroes Passage, will provide veterans with counseling, as well as be a gathering space for veterans to meet and socialize. Tammy Black, head of the Grayson Veterans’ Outreach, said the facility will be a way to bring them “together under one roof to help service them the best way” they can. The facility does not yet have a timeframe when it will be open.
