Two Arrested in Martin Shoplifting

Two have been arrested with shoplifting in Martin. According to the Floyd County Chronicle, Officer Kristen Napier responded to a shoplifting at Martin Gun and Pawn where James Lee Noble was accused of breaking into a jewelry case and stealing approximately $1,600 worth of rings. Linda Blackburn was arrested as well and accused of assisting Noble by distracting the store clerk during the alleged shoplift. Noble was charged with unlawful taking under $10,000 and third-degree criminal mischief and scheduled for a preliminary hearing on September 16. Blackburn was charged with one count of complicity to theft by unlawful taking and released on her own recognizance until arraignment.
