Bevin abolished the university’s board of trustees earlier this year, which lead to a lawsuit by Attorney General Andy Beshear. Judge Shepherd temporarily blocked Bevin’s order until both sides could provide expert witnesses about the order’s impact of the school’s accreditation. Bevin’s attorney declined to provide an expert witness, leading to an attempt to block Beshear’s witness, which Shepherd denied.
