Lt. Governor Hampton and Labor Sec. Ramsey Address Labor-Management Conference

Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton and Labor Secretary Derrick Ramsey addressed labor and management representatives at the 39th annual Kentucky Labor-Management Conference at Kentucky Dam Village. The conference works to promote economic development through labor-management cooperation. Hampton, a former plant manager, said positive labor-management relations are critically important to productivity. Ramsey discussed the new “Kentucky Trained. Kentucky Built.” apprenticeship program, saying apprenticeships “can provide workforce solutions to nearly any industry” and wants to see the number of employers using this method grow.
