A Pike County Detention Center inmate has been placed on shock probation after raping another inmate, according to WYMT. A Corrections Officer discovered the incident September 13, during a watch tour. The Detention Center is conducting an internal investigation, along with the Pike County Police. Pike County Jailer Freddie Lewis said the victim is doing okay and will serve the rest of his time on probation. The accused inmate is currently in isolation and could be indicted on charges of sodomy and rape this week. Investigators are working to determine to what lead up to the incident.
