U.S. Attorney General Lynch Visits Kentucky

Also from WYMT, U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch visited central Kentucky Tuesday as part of the Obama Administration’s “week of action” to raise awareness about the rising public health crisis caused by drug overdoses. Lynch spoke to students at Madison Central High School in a youth town hall, saying “Just last year alone in Kentucky, 1200 people died from opioid…and heroin abuse overdoses. That’s two time the number of people in this room.” She later met with parents of overdose victims and delivered a policy speech on actions the Justice Department is taking on the opioid and heroin epidemic.
