U.S. Representative Hal Rogers invites all high school students in southern and eastern Kentucky to attend two U.S. Service Academy Information Fairs to learn more about the application and nomination process. The service academies provide students interested in military careers the opportunity to pursue a top-notch education. In addition to applying for the academies, students may request a Congressional nomination. Rogers said “I count it a great honor to nominate a limited number of our brightest and most successful students to out U.S. Service Academies each year, as they pursue a career of service to this great nation” He hopes the information sessions will simplify and streamline the application process for students. Students in Kentucky’s Fifth Congressional District can choose to attend one of two information sessions:
Tuesday September 27th at the London Community Center in London, KY
Or
Thursday September 29th at Prestonsburg High School in Prestonsburg, KY.
Registration begins at 6:30p.m. and the events will start at 7:00 p.m.
