Sarah “Jessie” Ferguson has been promoted to program administrator for Adult Institutions, announced Kentucky Department of Corrections Commissioner Jim Erwin. Erwin said Ferguson “has a proven performance record,” and is confident she will excel in her role. She has worked with Department of Corrections since 2003, beginning as a correctional officer with Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex before being promoted to classification and treatment officer in 2004. During her career, she has worked in restrictive housing and general population, and assisted with opening the first re-entry dorm at EKCC as the transfer coordinator. She is a member of the Kentucky Council on Crime and Delinquency and the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation.
