In the morning hours of Tuesday, September 27, Kentucky State Police Post 8 Pikeville was contacted by Martin County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance with a death investigation. Detectives from Post 9 responded to the scene and determined that human remains were located in a wooded area in the Milo community of Martin County. The initial investigation at the scene did not reveal the person’s identity or gender. The remains were sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office. This incident remains under investigation by KSP Detective Jason Dials.
