The University of Pikeville will formally install Burton J. Webb, Ph. D., as the institution’s 21st president on Friday, October 14, at 3 p.m. in Booth Auditorium. Webb, who took office in January, was born and raised on a small farm in central Michigan. The son of teachers, he invested many years of his life in teaching both undergraduate students at Indiana Wesleyan University and medical students at Indiana University, from which he received his Ph.D. Several inauguration events are planned that embody the theme of the celebration, “One UPIKE family – striving to serve.” For information on the events, visit upike.edu.
