Paintsville Utilities Assures Water Safe

At the monthly meeting of the Paintsville Utilities Commission, General Manager Bob Pack wanted to reassure the board and public of the water quality for their consumer area. With last month’s report of chromium-6 in 75 percent of the country’s drinking water, Pack wanted to assure the public the water was safe and has one of the lowest levels on contamination in the region, meeting the public health goal set by California. He also notified the commission that he is looking into training for utilities workers to monitor the water that comes into Paintsville Lake, their primary water source, for any contaminants coming in and to be addressed.
