Floyd County Schools Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb wants to remind everyone that October is Anti-Bullying Awareness Month and October 16-22, 2016 is Kentucky Safe Schools Week. Dr. Webb comments, “October highlights being aware of bullying but we always encourage our kids to talk with responsible adults at school and/or at home if they have safety concerns. We have a Safety Tip line available on our district web page and this tip line allows students the opportunity to report unsafe school situations because we want Floyd County Schools to be the best possible place for kids.” Webb says the awareness month serves as a reminder to promote and ensure “safe, secure learning environments for kids.” He hopes all kids, parents and the community will pledge to help stop bullying.
