Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton was awarded the 2016 Role Model of the Year by the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of the Bluegrass on Friday, October 7, at their 11th Annual Recognition Awards Luncheon. Each year students vote for one male and one female role model of the year, with Hampton chosen as one of their 2016 Role Models. She was presented the award by her Relations Manager, Cody Patterson, describing her as exemplifying integrity, humility and joy as not only a state leader, but in her everyday life. Hampton was honored to receive the award and said “As a public servant, I understand the significance of role models and am happy to serve as one for students across the Commonwealth.”
