A two vehicle collision in Perry County late Saturday afternoon has killed three men. Kentucky State Police Post 13 Troopers were called to the scene of the crash on KY 7 in the Cornettsville community at around 4:28 pm. Preliminary investigation determined a 2008 Ford Mustang, driven by 44-year-old Christopher Hill collided head-on with a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 68-year-old James Sams. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Sams’ passenger, 61-year-old Harold Halcomb, was airlifted to Pikeville Medical Center where he died from his injuries. Seat belts were not worn by any of the victims. Toxicology reports are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
