On October 17, the Prestonsburg Police Department responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of KY Route 321 and KY Route 3. Woodrow Dykes, 42, was traveling west when he pulled out in front of Levi McKenzie, 26, who was traveling north. Both vehicles came to a rest on the guardrail. Passengers in McKenzie’s vehicle were trapped and had to be removed. All occupants were taken to Highlands Regional Medical Center for treatment, with three of McKenzie’s passengers transferred to Cabell Huntington Hospital. Seat belts were in use and the accident is still under investigation. If anyone witnessed the collision, they are asked to call the Prestonsburg Police Department.
