SIPP Successful with First Movie Showing in Ten Years

The Historic SIPP Theatre in Paintsville had a sold out showing of The Goonies Saturday night. The evening was highly anticipated as it was the first movie shown at the theatre in over a decade. Moviegoers were lined out the door for the special event, which also held a matinee showing Sunday afternoon. Renovations are also expected to continue as Paintsville Tourism looks to raise funds to replace the seats inside the venue. The next event at the SIPP will be Friday October 28, as they show a double feature of the original Night of the Living Dead, followed by The Rocky Horror Picture Show with live shadow cast. Doors will open at 6pm and is expected to run until 1am.
