On Wednesday, around 10am, Harlan County Detention Center staff reported that inmate Matthew York ran from the Inmate Work Release Program. York was with a crew stationed at the 840 Park in Loyall. He was noticed missing at approximately 9:40am, and local authorities were notified shortly after. York is a white male, 5’8” tall and weighs 205 pounds. He is classified by the Kentucky Department of Corrections as a Minimum Level 2, allowing him to be  part of outside work details, and is not considered dangerous.
