Halloween Comicfest events will be taking place this weekend at local comic book stores. On Saturday, beginning at 12 noon, The eStore in Prestonsburg will be giving away a selection of free comics and have comic creators Todd Goodman, Mike W. Blecher, and Steven Paul Watson, as well as a costume contest for children 13 and under and adults 14 and older. The winner of each category will receive a $50 gift certificate. Page 3’s Game Zone in Pikeville will also be giving away free comics from Saturday until Monday. Anyone that comes to the store in costume will be entered to win a $50 gift card.
