Big Sandy Community and Technical College and the Commonwealth Education Opportunity Center will provide free assistance for the FAFSA from 1:30pm to 4pm, Thursday, November 10 at the Kentucky Career Center, located at 686 North Lake Drive in Prestonsburg. Director of enrollment management at BSCTC Billie Jean Cole said the FAFSA can be challenging for many and they will be on hand to explain the process and assist people in completing their application. This year, federal guidelines pushed the application start date to October 1 to better align with college admission dates. BSCTC has financial aid staff on its Prestonsburg, Pikeville, and Mayo campuses Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
