Kentucky travelers can now use the online traffic and roadway information portal GoKY.ky.gov for details on highway and weather conditions. The website replaces the traditional 511 phone number. Secretary Greg Thomas called GoKY “the perfect solution to satisfy the needs of the traveling public while stewarding state dollars.” Call volume to 511 has dropped nearly 40 percent in the last two years and phasing out the phone system will save taxpayers up to $750,000 annually.
