On Friday, November 4, Hazard Police Officers executed a search warrant at the residence of William Herald in Combs as a result of a narcotics investigation. A search warrant was executed at this same residence three weeks prior. The recent search resulted in the seizure of multiple bags of cocaine, numerous types and quantities of pills, over $4,800 cash, and a vehicle used to transport illegal narcotics. Four arrests were made. William Herald, Kendra Herald, and John Mack Slover were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, with William and Slover also facing tampering with Physical evidence charges, and both Heralds also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Ronnie Southwood was arrested at the residence on an outstanding warrant for attempted murder.
