Governor Bevin Recognizes Fallen Fort Campbell Soldiers

On Monday, Governor Matt Bevin recognized the sacrifice of three Fort Campbell soldiers, Staff Sgt. Matthew C. Lewellen, 27 of Lawrence, Kansas; Stagg Sgt. Kevin J. McEnroe, 30 of Tucson, Arizona; and Staff Sgt. James F. Moriarty, 27 of Kerrville, Texas, who died while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. The three were assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and died on November 4 from wounds sustained when their convoy came under fire while entering a Jordanian military base. Governor Bevin will order flags lowered to half-staff in honor of the soldiers on the date of the their internment, and encourages others to join in the tribute.
