Big Sandy Community and Technical College held its Big Sandy Idol Competition at Pikeville High School on Friday, November 4. 12 students participated for coveted spots in the annual Big Sandy Idol regional competition, which will be held in March at the Mountain Arts Center. Maddie Willard was crowned the winner, and Alicia Zacarius finished as runner-up, both advancing to the regional competition to earn a spot on the Big Sandy Singers, an album recording, and other prizes. Big Sandy Idol will visit Magoffin County High School on Friday, November 11.
