A single vehicle crash occurred on Mt Pleasant Road in Laurel County the afternoon of November 9. Deputy Josh Scott reports a white Nissan was traveling on Mt. Pleasant Road when a deer ran across the roadway, causing the vehicle to swerve and a wheel dropping off the roadway causing the driver to lose control and overturning the vehicle. The driver, 55-year-old Juanita Collett of Cabin Ridge Road, along with passenger Jennifer Garland, age 47, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of injuries.
