As conditions remain dry, the Kentucky Division of Forestry has been doing their best to combat the fires spreading across the Commonwealth. On Sunday, KDF reported confirmation of seven new fires, bringing the total to 24 fires burning with an estimated 25 thousand acres. Crews were able to control six fires with a combined total of 271 acres. Fire conditions are still dangerous with no rain in the forecast until the weekend. Officials are urging everyone to be safe and look out for one another.
