On Saturday, November 12, around 6:30am, Knox County Deputy Keith Liford investigated a burglary at a residence in Hinkle. Reported stolen in the burglary were a 2003 Chevy truck, an Apple computer, a purse containing a debit card and social security card, auto parts, and a 2005 Honda Rubicon ATV. At around 12:15pm, Deputy Liford responded to report of a man passed out in a vehicle on Walker Road in Flat Lick. The vehicle matched the one taken early that morning. James Helton, 36 of Flat Lick, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, as well as charges related to the stolen property. All of the stolen property was recovered, and Helton was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
