At the monthly meeting of the Paintsville City Council on Monday, November 14, council member Coach Bill Mike Runyon was appointed the interim mayor for the City of Paintsville. He replaces former Mayor Robert Porter, whose resignation vacated the position effective November 13. After being sworn in, he thanked Mayor Porter for his years of service to the city.

Tim Hall was also appointed to Runyon’s vacated council position to serve the remainder of the term.
