Non-Injury School Bus Crash in Lee County

A Lee County school bus was involved in an early morning crash Monday. Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement investigated the collision, which seemed to be caused by a deer jumping into the path of the Lee County School Bus #95 on Primrose Lane. As a result of the deer jumping into the roadway, bus driver Keith Smith swerved into a ditch to avoid a collision. Ten students were being transported at the time and no injuries were sustained. The bus remained operational and drove from the scene. Lee County Board of Education followed up with their policy and procedures.
