On Tuesday, Governor Matt Bevin’s executive order reorganizing the former seven-person Workers’ Compensation Nominating Commission, resulting in a five-member board with all new members, was upheld by the Franklin Circuit Court. The decision supports that the Governor has the legal authority to reorganize executive boards. Communications Director Amanda Stamper said the news was welcome, as it will allow the committee to proceed in meeting and making nominations so that Governor Bevin can appoint administrative law judges to fill vacant positions.
