A Hazard church is partnering with McDonalds for a canned food drive. As it is the season of giving, Journey Christian Church is working with the fast food chain to collect non-perishable items to assist the more than 85 families that use the church’s food pantry. Those who donate at least six non-perishable food items will receive a free meal from McDonalds. Customers who make donations will also be entered in a drawing to win a bottomless coffee mug, giving free coffee for a year. Donations can be dropped at the McDonalds on Combs Road or Citizens Lane in Hazard until December 20.
