On Saturday, Knox County Deputy Keith Liford responded to a complaint of a man caught stealing inside a garage at a residence on Calebs Creek Road in Hinkle. The suspect was observed sitting in a vehicle on the property when the deputy arrived and determined he kicked in the garage door to gain entry. Challis Ray Davis, 35 of Flat Lick, was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree and Public Intoxication. During the arrest, Davis was found in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Xanax bars, Neurotin tablets and marijuana. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
