U.S. House Approves 21st Century Cures Act

The U.S. House of Representatives approved the passage of the bipartisan 21st Century Cures Act on Wednesday, November 30. With over 10,000 known diseases, and only cures and treatments for 500 of them, the Cures act will provide funding  for projects that will help find new treatments for cancer and better understand diseases like Alzheimer’s. The bill also lifts barriers for Medicare patients who rely on clinics in rural communities, allowing access to more resources and better care. Congressman Hal Rogers said “it will undoubtedly prove to be life-saving legislation for future generations.”
