Governor Matt Bevin has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff today in honor of Staff Sgt. Kevin J. McEnroe and Staff Sgt. James F. Moriarty, Fort Campbell soldiers who died on November 4 while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. Services for McEnroe will be at 9am at Arlington National Cemetery, with Moriarty’s following at noon. According to the Department of Defense, the staff sergeants died in Jafr, Jordan of wounds sustained when their convoy came under fire while entering a Jordanian military base. Governor Bevin encourages individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies to join in this tribute of lowering the flag in honor of Staff Sergeants McEnroe and Moriarty.
