This weekend, Hazard is inviting you to experience “Christmas in a Small Town” with their downtown Christmas festivities. Attractions include an ice skating rink and toboggan sledding hill, which will serve as fundraisers for next summer’s Perry County Fair. A screening of the movie “Elf” will be held at 5:30pm on Friday, December 9. People can also drive or walk down main street to see the Christmas tree displays. Those walking may also be interested in the Christmas Storybook Walk, with pages from “The Polar Express” placed on local business windows on Main Street. Events begin Friday December 9 from 5pm to 9pm, and Saturday, December 10 from 10am to 6:30pm with a parade beginning at 4pm.
