Big Sandy Community and Technical College recognized three employees who are retiring  during a reception held on Wednesday, December 7 in the Community Room on the Prestonsburg Campus. The employees honored were Clara Garrett, Dr. Reza Akhlaghi and Margarita Hampton. Garrett worked at BSCTC for 39 years and was coordinator of the Associate Degree Nursing program, having also served as a professor. Dr. Akhlaghi spent his 27 years as a professor of Mathematics, with some solutions to math problems published in prestigious math journals. Hampton has served as executive administrative assistant in the office of the president throughout her 29 years, serving every president of BSCTC.
