Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan held their annual Shop with a Trooper program this week across their three county post area. Monday, troopers shopped with 20 kids at Walmart in Bell County, then 20 kids in Harlan on Tuesday, and 22 kids in Knox County on Wednesday. All 62 kids received $120.00 worth of clothing and toys, then provided with a meal. Before they returned to their buses, all 62 kids received a new bicycle. The Shop with A Trooper program operates solely from donations from the community. This is the first year that Post 10 was able to provide all 62 kids with a new bicycle in addition to the $120 they received to spend at their local Walmart.
