Paris Man Receives 11 Year Sentence on Child Pornography Charges

Attorney General Andy Beshear announced Thursday that a Paris man has been found guilty in Bourbon Circuit Court of multiple charges of child pornography, receiving an 11-year sentence. Matthew Tipton, 26, of Paris, was found guilty December 14, of 20 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Seizure of multiple computers and external hard drives at Tipton’s home in 2015 resulted in the uncovering of more than 2,000 images and 150 videos depicting child pornography stored on the devices. Beshear thanked his prosecutors for their hard work on the case and that his office’s core mission is to protect Kentucky children from abuse and exploitation.
