Bell County Sheriff Deputy Max Graves served a warrant December 15 on a woman who was in juvenile court for an issue related to her children. Melina K. Jones, 36 of Middlesboro, was arrested and served a warrant for two counts of abandonment of a minor. Her husband, 37 year old John H. Jones, was served the same warrant on December 2, 2016, while in custody of the Bell County Detention Center. John Jones has been serving a sentence after he was arrested during a November 17th hearing in juvenile court, in which he openly threatened a woman, leading to a charge of terroristic threatening. The abandonment charges stem from the pair forcing two children from their home.
