Beshear Announces Joining Multistate Lawsuit Against Pharmaceutical Companies

Attorney General Andy Beshear announce Thursday that Kentucky has joined a multistate lawsuit alleging a large group of pharmaceutical companies have monopolized generic drugs, calling the conduct “straightforward and sinister.” The lawsuit, filed in federal court December 15, alleged widespread collusion among the pharmaceutical companies to reduce competition and increase the price of generic drugs. The lawsuit files claims against Heritage Pharmaceuticals, Auribindo Pharma, Citron Pharma, Mayne Pharma, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, and Teva Pharmaceuticals.
