The Kentucky State Police in Morehead are investigating a fatal fire which occurred on Old Trace Creek in Lewis County. KSP was contacted by Lewis County Dispatch on December 15 at 2:04pm and advised of a residential fire at 5411 Old Trace Creek. KSP Arson Investigator Shane Barnes and Detectice Nathan Shortridge arrived on the scene and were advised that there was one occupant who perished in the fire. The victim was identified on December 19 as Paula S. Kilgore, age 50, of Vanceburg. The cause of the fire is undetermined and foul play is not suspected.
