On Monday, December 19, London Police arrested two on Old Whitley Road for narcotics possession following a traffic stop. Detective Sgt. Joe Smith stopped Jermaine Matthews, 42, of Detroit, Michigan, after he failed to use a turn signal while making a turn onto KY-1006 from KY-192. Matthews did not immediately stop and was seen moving around inside the vehicle. He and his passenger, Brooke Bingham, 33, of Gray, KY, gave consent to a search and Alprazolam and heroin were discovered. They were arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
