At approximately 9:55 Christmas morning, the Hazard Police Department received a report of a robbery at the Family Dollar at the Hazard Village Shopping Center. The suspect was captured on surveillance video wearing a hoodie and had his hand in the pocket of the hoodie, making gestures that led the cashier to believe he had a weapon. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes and left the parking lot in a new model black four door car, possibly a Toyota Camry, with chrome trim around the windows and silver hub caps or wheel covers.
