Floyd County Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb announce that Misty Knott from James A. Duff Elementary and Jessica Kiser from Allen Elementary have been accepted into the KY Super Stars Leadership Academy, a new initiative from the Governor’s Office for Early Childhood. The KY Super Stars Leadership Academy includes workshops, resources and networking to help meet professional goals and improve their craft. The six-month program is at no cost to teachers or the Floyd County School District. Dr. Webb commented that he and the board team are excited to see Misty and Jessica begin this new leadership academy. He said teachers like them are always looking for ways to get better for kids. The Super Stars Leadership Academy will focus on helping participants improve instruction and creating the best learning environments for children. Teachers will have personal mentors in addition to regional and state training sessions.
