Knox County Man Facing Over a Dozen Charges

A Knox County man is facing over a dozen charges after assaulting a police officer the morning of December 29, 2016. Deputy Keith Liford observed a car parked on the side of the road in the Little Brush Creek area. When he approached the vehicle, the vehicle attempted to flee but got stuck in a muddy side road. They attempted to flee again and reversed into Deputy Liford and Constable Reed Murphy. The driver, Brian Osborne, 36, of Artemus, fled on foot but was detained after a lengthy struggle. Inside the vehicle, Deputy Liford found a sawed off shotgun, three police scanner type radios and several ingredients used to manufacture meth. Osborne’s passenger also fled the scene, but has been identified with warrants expected for the individual.
