The ice and snow covered roads have made it hazardous for some to get out, but the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department is here to help. Sheriff’s deputies are equipped with all wheel drive and 4-wheel drive vehicles for patrols and to assist those who need transportation to and from work, the hospital, or other emergency type needs such as medicines, kerosene or others. If you or someone you know need their services, please call the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and if possible call early enough to allow them to schedule transportation.
