On Friday, January 6, Floyd County Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb announced Jhaughanessy Morris from Allen Central Middle School has been selected to receive the Jake Kent Cooke Foundations’ Young Scholars Program Scholarship. Jhaughanessy is one of approximately 60 recipients nationwide with an estimated 2,000 apply annually. Webb said that being chosen means Jhaughanessy has had a terrific amount of academic success, demonstrated leadership, initiative and willingness to help others.
