Kentucky Passes Right-to-Work Bill

In a special fifth day of the Kentucky General Assembly Saturday, January 7, the state Senate passed House Bill 1, making Kentucky the 27th right to work state in the country. The bill prohibits any worker to join a union as a condition of employment, allowing employees to make the decision to join themselves. Many hope the legislation will make the state more attractive to companies seeking to locate in the Commonwealth. Kentucky Chamber of Commerce  President and CEO Dave Adkisson said they are confident this will lead to more jobs and more opportunities for Kentuckians.
