A Laurel County man was arrest for shoplifting on January 7. Deputy Travis Napier responded to a Family Dollar after Ryan Cooper, 29, was detained for allegedly shoplifting. Cooper was determined to be under the influence. He had three sets of women’s socks on him when he was detained. Cooper was charged with shoplifting and public intoxication and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
