On Thursday, January 5, officers with the Hazard Police Department responded to a reported disturbance on Bartlett Street. On arrival, officers located a female victim, bloody, and in need of medical treatment. Upon investigation, it was alleged by the victim that Brandon Marlowe, 29, and Ashley Fugate, 30, had been in the victim’s residence. When they left, she noticed a lockbox missing and confronted the pair outside, where she was intentionally struck with a car. Marlowe and Fugate were arrested and charged with 1^st degree robbery and attempted murder.
