Several unemployment offices across the state will see employees pulled out in an effort to save millions of dollars. A notice was sent to employees on January 10 that 95 employees in 31 unemployment offices will be transferred to other positions in the cabinet or elsewhere in the state government. The transfer will take the current 51 Kentucky Career Center locations in the state down to 12 hubs and eight satellite offices. The hubs will be located in Bowling Green, Covington, Elizabethtown, Hazard, Hopkinsville, Lexington, Louisville, Morehead, Owensboro, Paducah, Prestonsburg, and Somerset.
